LXS is inspired by the hidden gems of the Mediterranean, in particular, the island of Limnos, where our founder’s family is from. “You’ve probably never heard of it, and that’s exactly why I love it. I’ve been going every summer since I was born, and sometimes, I feel like I’m going back in time because not much has changed. Some of my favorite memories take place there, and what makes them so special is that they are so simple: hanging clothes on the wash line after a day at the beach, afternoon strolls in the village, the aromas of my grandmother’s cooking.”

If there’s one thing Greeks know how to do well, it’s celebrating life. Not only when it comes to holidays or special occasions, but more importantly, when it’s just an ordinary day. We cherish our loved ones and open our arms to strangers, sharing whatever we have even when we don’t have much ourselves. You’ll often hear the phrase Στην υγειά μας! ringing across tables throughout Greece. More than a toast to good health, it’s a gratitude for life itself.

OUR FOUNDER
Natasha Catrakilis
Although she was born in South Africa and grew up in the United States, Natasha has always felt great pride in her Greek roots. Having spent every summer on the island of Limnos since she was born, Natasha fell in love with Mediterranean living early on. As she grew older, she found ways to incorporate it into her everyday life, eventually doing so through interior design. These two passions, Greece and design, are ultimately what led to the creation of LXS, a special way to share a part of herself with the rest of the world.
