The Signature Collection perfectly blends past & present. Our mixed use of olive wood, walnut and wenge honors the timeless tradition of Greek tavli while our metallic hardware and rattan exterior imbue a simple yet modern twist. Each board has a walnut frame in one of three wood tones — warm, cool, or dark — thoughtfully selected to fit any design style. The rattan exterior is the same across all three boards and adds a unique layer of texture that defines our Signature Collection. Our use of natural materials means that no two boards will ever look exactly the same.

  • The exterior surface is a natural, woven material made from rattan, a vine-like plant similar to bamboo. Our exterior frame is made from walnut and stained in either a warm, cool, or dark finish. The interior playing field is some combination of walnut, olive burl (a special type of olive wood) and wenge (an exotic, dark wood). Because we use natural materials, no two boards will ever look exactly the same. Hence, you may notice subtle variations in our photographed boards and the one(s) you order.

  • The Signature Collection is crafted using the traditional technique of marquetry: the art & craft of applying extremely thin slices of wood to form distinct patterns/designs on a smooth surface. This method of construction dates back thousands of years and is still commonly used today. All our boards are manufactured in Greece to support local craftsmanship. We work closely with a family-owned factory, known for their superior quality and expertise, to bring our boards to life.

  • Although our boards are coated in varnish to help maintain color and composition, we recommend avoiding exposure to liquids of any form, including water. Prolonged exposure might cause permanent damage. If an accident does occur, please wipe off immediately with a soft washcloth. Contact our support team if you have specific questions.
